What We Were Never Taught About Money

Most of us were not taught about money directly. We learnt by observing, guessing and, if we were lucky, with a little guidance along the way. But that does not mean we know nothing about money. Unconscious learning is still learning, and much of what we believe and how we behave around money comes from those early lessons.
What We Were Never Taught About Money covers the foundations of personal finance, including budgeting, saving, debt, investing, protection and planning for the future. But it doesn’t stop at telling you what you should do. Because knowing what to do with money and actually doing it are two very different things.
Throughout the book, reflection exercises ask you to look at your own habits, beliefs and choices around money, and work out what needs to change. The aim isn’t to prescribe one perfect way to manage money, but to help you deliberately build a financial life that works for you.
